SkiBum, Inc. ("SkiBum," "we," "us") operates the SkiBum website at skibumapp.com and the SkiBum iOS application (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard personal information when you use the Service.
By using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Account information. Email address, username, display name, password (stored hashed by our auth provider), and optional profile details (bio, avatar, ski pass type, skier type).
User-generated content. Run reviews, ratings, descriptors, photos, favorites, and social interactions (friends, messages) you choose to submit.
Usage and device data. App events (screens viewed, searches, review submissions), device type, OS version, and approximate location when you enable location features for nearby resorts or map features.
Communications. Messages you send to support or partner programs.
Where GDPR applies, we process personal data based on: (a) performance of our contract with you; (b) legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service; (c) consent where required (e.g., optional marketing); and (d) legal obligations.
We retain account and content data while your account is active. You may delete reviews you authored or request account deletion by emailing privacy@skibumapp.com. We may retain limited records as required for security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact privacy@skibumapp.com to exercise these rights. We will respond within applicable timeframes.
California residents may request disclosure of categories of personal information collected, request deletion, and opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. SkiBum does not sell personal information. Submit requests to privacy@skibumapp.com.
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or 16 in certain jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information.
We use industry-standard safeguards including encryption in transit (TLS), row-level security on our database, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
We are based in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., your information may be processed in the U.S. or other countries with different data protection laws.
We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
